This policy aims to illustrate the types and methods of use of cookies as well as to provide indications on actions to refuse or delete cookies present on the website www.digitalmirror.it.
1. What are Cookies?
Cookies are small text strings that the sites visited by the user send to their terminal (usually the browser), where they are stored to be retransmitted to the same sites at the next visit by the same user. During navigation on a site, the user may also receive cookies on their terminal that are sent by different sites or web servers (so-called 'third parties'), on which some elements (such as, for example, images, maps, sounds, specific links to pages of other domains) present on the site that the same is visiting may reside.
2. Types of Cookies used
A. Technical Cookies (Necessary)
These are strictly necessary to 'carry out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such service' (cf. art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Privacy Code). They do NOT require user consent. Without these cookies, some areas of the site may not function correctly.
B. Profiling and Analysis Cookies (Google Analytics 4)
These cookies are used to trace specific actions or recurring behavioral patterns in the use of the offered functionalities (patterns) to specific, identified or identifiable subjects, in order to group different profiles within homogeneous clusters of different sizes, so that it is possible for the Controller, among other things, to modulate the provision of the service in an increasingly personalized way beyond what is strictly necessary for the provision of the service, as well as to send targeted advertising messages, i.e., in line with the preferences expressed by the user during web navigation. We use Google Analytics 4 for anonymized statistical analysis which, potentially, crosses data with other Google services for marketing purposes. The use of these cookies requires the user's explicit CONSENT, which can be expressed or revoked via the banner on the site.
3. List of Cookies
| Cookie Name | Provider | Type | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| cookie_consent | Digital Mirror | Technical | 1 year | Saves user consent preferences. |
| _ga, _gid, _gat | Analysis (Profiling) | 2 years / 24 hours | Statistical analysis of visits and user behavior. |
4. Cookie Management
The user can decide whether to accept cookies or not also using their own browser settings. Disabling 'third party' cookies does not affect navigability in any way. Below are links to instructions for the most common browsers:
5. Rights of the interested party
At any time, the user can exercise their rights under the GDPR (see Privacy Policy), or modify their tracking preferences by clicking on 'Customize' in the cookie banner or by clearing the browser cache to make the banner reappear.
